Walking Aids for Independence is a family-owned and operated durable medical equipment (DME) company specializing in the sales, installation, rental, and service of indoor and outdoor stairlifts, outdoor porch/vertical lifts, vehicle lifts, and ramps (modular and portable). We also offer a full range of additional DME equipment such as manual and power wheelchairs, power scooters, lift chairs, transport chairs, bath safety equipment, and walkers. We have been in the mobility/accessibility equipment business for over 25 years in the Northeast Ohio area. In addition to the sales, installation, and servicing of new products, we have an extensive inventory of used products (including ramp systems and stairlifts) for your consideration. And we're prepared to offer you a deal on these products - just ask Bill!
A personal note about how we approach our work: We run a “no nonsense” business. Our website doesn’t have the bells and whistles of other sites, and we don’t spend exorbitant sums printing glossy, elaborate marketing materials. We keep our overhead low and transfer the cost savings on to our customers. And this: A person answers our telephone! Most importantly, we offer personal, professional, and LOCAL follow-up and service when you need repairs or help with your product. We know there are thousands of web sites selling this equipment. But, before you buy “cheap” on the internet or telephone, ask the seller how s/he intends to offer service where and when you need it. We are local. We live here. Unlike countless numbers of internet and “mail order” DME companies, we ourselves service what we sell. You don’t go through a middleman subcontractor.
